More about the CS Leadership Certificate Program

The goal of CSLP is to create leaders in our critical times of the “Great Turning.”  To deepen both courage and wisdom for the battles ahead.  To deepen our minds and hearts and the actions that flow from our hearts and minds.

The program will include five seminar courses taught by special and very grounded teachers.

Foundations of Creation Spirituality” will lay out the basic principles of CS and Leadership including Original Blessing, the Cosmic Christ archetype (which parallels the Buddha Nature archetype from the East and the Image of God archetype from Judaism), Panentheism, mystical/prophetic dialectic and more.  The teacher, Dr. Gianluigi Gugliermetto, PhD from Claremont University, is an Episcopal pastor in Christ Church, Ontario, California who has translated about ten of Matthew Fox’s books into Italian.

“Ecology and the New Cosmology” taught by Dr. Theodore Richards, author of numerous award-winning books such as Creatively Maladjusted: The Wisdom Education Movement Manifesto; Cosmosophia; A Letter to My Daughters.  Ted did his doctoral studies with cosmologist Brian Swimme at CIIS.  After working with Matthew Fox as director of the YELLAWE program for inner city teenagers in Oakland he returned to south Chicago where he began the Chicago Wisdom Project (www.chicagowisdomproject.org) which reaches out to inner city young adults and has spawned the Baltimore Wisdom Project, the ReImagine magazine and more.

Culture and CS will be overseen by Ted Richards.  It will focus on reinventing education and the wisdom of youth.  It will include interaction with youth leaders such as Rev. Adam Bucko, founder of the Reciprocity Foundation and co-author of Occupy Spirituality and The New Monasticism; Paul Engler, author of This Is an Uprising; Rev. Jerry Maynard, 26 y/o catholic worker activist & priest; Rev. Yes, the importance of returning to an understanding of the Cosmic Christ is vital. It gives those in the Christian diaspora a reason to revisit their tradition. Please, in the approaching Lenten and Easter seasons, revisit your work about what resurrection means in terms of the Cosmic Christ. Blessings on the new manifestation of a Creation Spirituality program.

Thank you, Carol, for the reminder of the opportunity to focus on the Cosmic Christ during Lent, including how the Four Paths are woven into Easter. Might we find how you have revisited Lent and Easter in your forthcoming book?

Creation Spirituality and the return of the Cosmic Christ made for a deeper and relevant relationship with my Christian tradition and a new avenue of ministry opened up. The Church, the world needs this now so desperately.

Carol, the proof of the power of a Creation Spirituality education for leadership can be seen in what you have created and accomplished since you completed your studies. I hope more join you in this deeper and more relevant path.
