Peter Thiel is kingmaker to the current administration. His company Palantir has taken in billions in defense and ICE contracts since joining the MAGA team in a big way, from 2015 through the 2024 election.
Thiel’s speeches on the antichrist have especially drawn my attention since it is stunningly rare to hear financial titans and political wheeler-dealers give public lectures on the antichrist, as he does in Europe, America, and Silicon Valley in particular.
Thiel has declared that “freedom and democracy are no longer compatible.” Thiel has cut ties with democracy—as has fellow MAGA convert Elon Musk—even though they now occupy the inner sanctum of our government, such as it is.
This calls for profound contemplation by all American citizens, and indeed citizens of the world.
A robust and frightening study called “The Authoritarian Stack: How Tech Billionaires Are Building a Post-Democratic America—and Why Europe is Next,” offers such a deep contemplation. Gil Duran of the “Nerd Reich” compiled it, and I highly recommend reading it—though it is not meant for the faint of heart.*
It is shocking and direct and hits you between the eyes. It also helps explicate why Thiel is so committed to preaching on the antichrist: His primary nominee for that title is anyone who is trying to rein in the power of AI, and of companies like his Palantir, which is so adept at using AI to catapult spying to a new dimension. “Freedom” for Thiel means freedom from regulation.
As the Times of London put it, “according to Thiel…fears around advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, or the risk of nuclear war or environmental disasters, could usher in a period of ‘one-world government’ regulation—and the coming of the antichrist.”** Yes, regulation to Thiel constitutes the very essence of the antichrist in our time.
Palantir’s data integration systems can be used “to manage migration flows, monitor and suppress protests, and enforce public health measures…Government agencies could use them in ways that undermine civil liberties without public consent.” The original version of Trump’s “big, beautiful budget bill” included a ten-year moratorium on any regulation of AI. But a leak raised so much opposition that it was dropped. One can see how nervous the very idea of regulation makes Thiel nervous.
Thiel bought his way into the heart of what Duran calls the “tech-right governance” by way of J. D. Vance, whose senatorial campaign he paid for ($15 million). Thiel also convinced Trump to make Vance his vice presidential candidate. The “Authoritarian Stack” that Thiel is building includes cloud servers, AI, finance, drones, satellites, et. al. It is faster than government oversight because it is fully privatized. “A regime where corporate boards, not public law, set the rules.”
Duran points out how “these firms operate as state-like powers—writing the rules, wining the tenders and exporting their model to Europe, where it poses a direct challenge to democratic governance.”
There is a reason why Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has dismantled all semblance of democracy in Hungary, happily sat next to Trump at a recent cabinet meeting, having received a pledge from Trump that he is fine with Hungary still buying Russian energy.
Duran points out how that what is going on now is no longer a “revolving door” between government and industry, but “a lock” between the two forming “a new architecture of power.” This was Mussolini’s very definition of fascism: The marriage of government and industry.
A particularly scary dimension to this alliance that is moving at breakneck speed through the current administration, is the “Army’s Executive Innovation Corps” where Silicon Valley executives are being commissioned into military ranks. “In June 2025, four tech executives were sworn in as lieutenant colonels: The line between contractor and commander has been erased.”
No wonder it’s been a priority for the current administration to fire numerous military leaders of experience and conscience.
All this feels like the antichrist to me.

YES!!! Especially to your first question. It’s very scary how the authoritarian regime of Donald Trump is working with multi billionaires like Thiel and their multinational corporations to infiltrate our government (especially the sycophant Republicans), our Unsupreme Court, the military, christian nationalism, the national media, to brainwash Americans and democracide American and European societies. Our Faith, values, and intelligent resistance as American citizens and traditions of democratic institutions, especially in our upcoming midterm elections in 2026, are more important than ever to save our democracy and our Sacred Mother Earth.
Fighting “Deep State” and “world government” is often invoked by the cupid clique of Trump courtesans when, in fact, the e-power structure they seek to implement is even deeper, darker, more secretive, selfish, hubristic, greedy, transnational, etc. The “Nerd Reich” is a great aptonym indeed for the totalitarian empire these E-Musk-eteers are trying to implement worldwide. However I see as a big contradiction that the tools we use to fight them on the Internet are actually controlled by them and making them more powerful.
