In my daily meditations last week, I addressed the deliberate and conscious effort of the current MAGA administration to murder other species.
The Scriptures say: “I put before you life and death. Choose life.” Life is a choice. And full of choices. MAGA chooses death every time it can, every chance it gets, it seems. It does so by dismantling protections for the environment (EPA) and protections for endangered species (EPS).
And, given the president’s speech Thursday night, MAGA is clearly choosing death to American democracy. A clear, deliberate and conscious choice is afoot to end voting in America.
How? With made-up stories that have been refuted by 62 cases in American courts. Each effort was dismissed.
We take umbrage at the Iranian government’s famous slogan over the past 47 years—“Death to America.” Yet we are getting the same message from the White House itself and all its MAGA enablers. This includes hundreds of congresspeople who have sold their souls to stand by their beloved Führer (and thereby supposedly keep their jobs). And who remain silent about his most recent speech.
On January 6, 2021, the president aroused thousands to march on the very house of democracy to violently overthrow the elective process, and set up a gallows to hang the vice president who dared to stand by his constitutional oath.
The same president, on the first day in office in 2025, pardoned nearly 1,600 of these violent mobsters. And recently tried to create a slush fund of $1.8 billion taxpayer dollars to reimburse them for their troubles in prison. And again, mostly silence ensued from the MAGA congress even when the acting Attorney General, who masterminded and signed off on this plot, seeks to become permanent AG.
Death to Democracy means Death to voting access for millions, and to America as it has been or strived to be for 250 years.
Following are some headlines in response to the president’s lie-laden speech on Thursday: From the governor of California: “The only thing missing tonight in Donald Trump’s speech was tin foil….A legitimate 25th Amendment moment—the ramblings of a mad king.”
From columnist Matt Kerbel: “Bunker Mentality…Trump is melting down… [He] has succumbed to his inner demons as though they can prevent him from losing his grip on power. [He] hunkers down in the White House….a manic quest….” An “unhinged election conspiracy speech.” Another columnist called the speech “bizarre” with “insane claims” about Chinese intervention.
From Senator Mark Warner, vice chair of the Senate intelligence Committee: “Trump’s shocking ‘bombshells’ about China are totally bogus.”
Why is MAGA so necrophilia-bound? Why does necrophilia reign in the White House and Congress and SCOTUS today? Erich Fromm concluded that fascism comes from a profound self-hatred. Adrienne Rich determined that patriarchy begins with “fatalistic self-hatred.”
Fascism is a kind of logical result of patriarchy gone berserk, overstepping its boundaries, taking itself too seriously, running with unbridled violence. Thus Susan Sontag calls fascism “institutional violence.”
What we heard from the pinnacle of the American governmental pyramid on Thursday night was institutional violence and mountains of lies, applied with a passion to destroy democracy by whatever means. The purpose being to set up a scene in the next election when the president’s private militia can invade polling places and carry ballots away.
The same militia with the same man at the helm who, financed to the tune of $70 billion by a compliant and eager MAGA congress, has been invading MAGA American cities since two years ago.
A president waging war on its own citizens even while it wages war in the Middle East, aligning itself with fellow-fascist, Benjamin Netanyahu, is not immune from such goals.

Hindsight of the past should be foresight of the future and, as the saying goes, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Some relief can be found in letting-off steam about the antics of someone immersed in “alternative reality” and obsessed with being front and center in any situation (e.g. had to be pulled off the stage at the World-Cup celebration as he lingered on to be on the winning team picture), but for all the fresh ink that flows about it, it would be wise to read again what some very dry ink says about what, in a post-WWII essay titled “After the Catastrophe,” Carl Jung called “a form of hysteria which is characterized by a peculiar talent for believing one’s own lies.” See, in particular, par. 419 of Vol. 10 of Jung’s Complete Works quoted in https://healingintheblur.com/jung-on-pseudologia-phantastica/
“Death to America.”?? More so ‘Death to an inclusive America’.
Thankful that many progressive politicians, our legal systems, and professional election officials and journalists have exposed the unfounded election claims and lies of dictator Trump’s voting allegations and exposing his true motivations to undermine the upcoming national elections and our democracy to remain in power. God’s Spirit of Truth Peace Justice Compassion within and among Us will prevail through All of Us maintaining Our Faith and serving God’s Will in Our personal and communal lives…
Once again a reminder how over the centuries many have exploited the
natural human instinct/emotion of Fear to control and profit from others.
A deeper more loving spirituality would be beneficial to many.

Canadian here. Here is a comparison between the Canadian response to worsening wildfires due to climate change, and the MAGA response. Nearly all our provinces not only fight wildfires and climate change, and study them both, (note that we have around 10 times the forest area to protect), we always send our brave firefighters to help America fight her forest fires too. A brave Canadian fire fighting pilot lost his life this week fighting American fires. For this the orange blob and all his suporters blame and threaten us with legal action, including additional illegal 50% tariffs. So you can understand that Canadians are disgusted and angry. We fear you guys are truly about to lose your democracy this November, and then we will be fighting against an utterly mad, lawless , fat old Caligula with millions of his rabid white “Christian” nationalist zombies. We have our elbows up.
