I write this DM on Tuesday morning. When DM readers read this on Wednesday, we will probably know whether the threats by the president of the United States to destroy an entire civilization have come through or not.
In many ways, the damage is already done, the cat is out of the bag. The truth is there for all to see.
Even die-hard MAGA spokespeople are seeing it. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who broke with Trump over his handling of the Epstein papers, but who was a loyal ally for years, responded to Trump’s Easter message by calling him “unhinged,” “insane,” “not a Christian,” and “evil.” And how Congress, if it does not invoke the 25th amendment, is “complicit” in his promised acts of genocide toward the Iranian people.
Yesterday she responded to his latest threats this way: “25TH AMENDMENT!!! Not a single bomb had dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization….This is evil and madness.”
Long-time ally of Trump, Piers Morgan denounced Trump’s threat as “madness” and added: “This is a brazen pre-admission of genocide against the Iranian people, which would obviously be a war crime.”
Democratic Senate leader Schumer responded: This is an extremely sick person. Each Republican who refuses to join us in voting against this wanton war of choice owns every consequence of whatever the hell this is.
Joe Kent, who resigned as director of the National Counterterrorism Center in Trump’s administration last month to protest the Iran War, warned that America…now stands in danger. If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos—effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower.
Chaos is the name of the game with Trump. He has brought chaos to the streets of American cities, with the cheerleading of all the Republicans who voted for $85 billion for ICE, including prison camps to house hundreds of thousands of immigrants held without due process.
MAGA has created chaos in the poorest countries of the world by gutting USAID for tuberculosis, malaria, and AIDS. It is estimated that 14 million Africans will perish by 2030 due to those decisions.* Chaos reigns in the Social Security system and the health system, where already millions have lost their health insurance, and in rural areas where hospitals are closing.
Chaos is the goal of the “SAVE” bill, which would effectively destroy America’s voting system and prevent millions of voters (especially women) from voting in next Fall’s election. Trump, MAGA, and House Speaker Mike Johnson are deeply frightened of what American voters might do next Fall.
Project 2025 promises chaos, and it is delivering.
Chaos and Evil are central to the archetype of the “Anti-Christ.” Let chaos reign so a few can gut an admittedly weak democracy and take charge fully. End the pretense of a government of, by, and for the people, and let the billionaires rule, continue to gut the middle class, and make tax breaks for them, own SCOTUS, the media, and the rest.
It is difficult to find words for evil when it is so omnipresent in high places. That is why I wrote Trump & MAGA as Anti-Christ on the eve of the 2024 election. The antichrist language does help name evil, especially when artists pick up on it.
Saint and Doctor of the church, Hildegard of Bingen, painted the antichrist in the 12th century as having penetrated church institutions of her day; Luca Signorelli painted the antichrist in a storied fresco in the Cathedral of Orvieto. It has allured diverse notables such as Sigmund Freud, Michaelangelo and numerous others to meditate on it over the centuries. They are central to my study on the antichrist, and we should do the same.

Fortunately, the world is able to sigh relief that Trump and the Iranians have agreed to suspend the hostilities for atleast two weeks as they negotiate to end the war in the Middle East. Trump has exposed himself further even to many in his MAGA base that he is mentally unstable and evil as Matthew tried to prophetically warn American voters in his still relevant short book before the 2024 election — “Trump and the MAGA Movement as Anti-Christ.”
The Republican congress and many of his billionaire donors are complicit and enablers in this evil that cause the death and suffering of millions of people in the US and around the world as reviewed in today’s DM.
The destructive patriarchal shadow of American history from the very beginning with its genocide of the Native Indigenous peoples, slavery, greed, racism, capitalistic economic injustices, assasinations, and ecocide of Sacred Mother continues to be exposed to Americans and around the world. Inspite of our American ideals and many positive and creative humanitarian Americans who are also part of our history, we can’t be too naive about the existence of ignorance and evil among many Americans in our struggle for justice/truth and human personal and societal/planetary spiritual evolution with all our sisters and brothers, in all physical/nonphysical dimensions, around the world.
